Advance Frequency Separation in Photoshop.
Frequency Separations using other Photos and Patterns
Frequency separation has always been an added tool in my arsenal for portrait retouching.
However, it really got powerful for me when I started recognizing I could add other elements into my frequency separation set up. Other elements like cloth fabrics, skin texture, body shapes.
It was a real game changer for how frequency separation fit into my work flow.
Now I use frequency separation on nearly every job. It’s often quick and I merge the frequency layer set and continue on with my job. No longer a precious standalone folder , I often merge it FS into my standard retouching - almost like when you use a filter.
